- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
-1 tsp sea salt
- 8 TBS butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups of dark chocolate pieces or chips
Whisk dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Mix together butter and both sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine in dry ingredients until well blended. Fold in dark chocolate pieces. Form dough into a ball and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate dough 1 hour before baking. Use spoon and form ball shape with dough and place on parchment lined cookie sheet about 1/2 inch apart. Sprinkle with added sea salt if desired. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
Variation- Add vanilla ice cream between two Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Chip cookies. Place cookie sandwich in small wax paper bag and serve. A simply delicious summer treat!
